NZ Diploma in Architectural Technology

Gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to become a productive member of an architectural design team.  The NZ Diploma in Architectural Technology provides practical learning to undertake the whole process of producing architectural drawings, from establishing a client's requirements right through to submission of the final designs.

Jason Taylor, Graduate

A chance to upskill brought with it an added bonus for builder Jason Taylor. The owner and operator of JT’s Building Services is on the cusp of graduating with the supervisor level five course, and while he was there to gain qualifications, one of the best parts of the two year course was the networking between students.  Taylor, who has been in the industry for around 12 years, is already looking to do the level six diploma.

Todd Rogers

After leaving Central Hawke’s Bay College, Todd signed up for a carpentry apprenticeship in the New Zealand Army.   During his 15-year service, he was the army’s construction manager with responsibility for as many as 52 apprentices in training.

Try all the Trades

Get a 'taste' of all the trades, Certificate in Applied Practical Skills - Trade Skills provides students with an introduction to carpentry, electrical, automotive, mechanical engineering and collision repair.

Specialist Facilities 

Purpose designed and equipped with state-of-the-art teaching technology, EIT’s newest building reflects an innovative approach to trades training. The new facility provides a ‘hands on’ learning environment for over 190 students per week.
