If you’re into cars and motors make a career out of it and study a National Certificate in Motor Industry to kick start an apprenticeship. You could earn a good wage as a mechanic doing something you really like. Apprenticeships and job opportunities in the motor trade include working on cars, trucks, motorcycles, marine motors or automotive electrics. You’ll get real world workshop experience with local firms during work experience.
Jason Taylor, Graduate
A chance to upskill brought with it an added bonus for builder Jason Taylor. The owner and operator of JT’s Building Services is on the cusp of graduating with the supervisor level five course, and while he was there to gain qualifications, one of the best parts of the two year course was the networking between students. Taylor, who has been in the industry for around 12 years, is already looking to do the level six diploma.
