Do I require a vaccination to study?

Certain roles in health and disability, education, corrections, fire, emergency and Police must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This is extended to include learners undertaking a work placements or work based learning as part of their programme within those sectors. Click here for more information on the mandatory Health Order.  All EIT programmes affected by this Health Order require learners to be fully vaccinated in order to complete the requirements of their programme.

In addition, full vaccination is required for the programmes listed below because students will be in venues that require full vaccination under the COVID-19 Protection Framework and/or will be completing their practical work in a close contact industry.

Please note:

  • The list below is provided as provisional guidance and is subject to change.
  • EIT is currently consulting with staff and students on mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for anyone using an EIT campus or regional learning centre. Current students can contact their programme coordinator for more information or email covid19@eit.ac.nz.
