This course will cover the principles and models of sustainability via both historic and contemporary perspectives and practices.
In this Level 5 ONLINE course, you will learn about:
- The key factors and their interactions within models of sustainability – environmental, economic, social and cultural factors
- Historic and contemporary Māori sustainability perspectives and practices
- Local and global contexts
- Implications of contemporary environmental issues for organisations
- Limiting factors and risk management
This course is suitable for those who have studied at tertiary level.

Geographical Information Systems (GIS) is a computer-based mapping and geographical analysis technique that is used in a vast array of fields.
This course is an ideal professional development course for those people in business or government who need to upskill. The GIS course is part of our Level 6 Environmental Management Diploma and covers the following:
- GIS fundamentals including its use and application (including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online)
- The fundamentals of RS (Remote Sensing) for modelling and presenting spatial data and information
- The fundamentals of GPS (Global Positioning Systems)
This course is suitable for those who have studied at tertiary level.
