NEW VENUE (TEMPORARY):

Our temporary venue for IELTS exams is Taradale High School, 50 Murphy Road, Taradale, Napier 4112.  We are hoping to be back on campus at EIT Te Pukenga early 2024.

IELTS Progress Check:

What is IELTS Progress Check?  It is an official online practice test for test takers, marked by official IELTS experts.  It is designed to offer new test takers an experience of the test and clear indication of how they will do in the real test.  There are two versions; Academic Module and General Training Module. 

On completion of the IELTS Progress Check, test takers receive an official feedback report, which includes indicative band scores for each skill and an overall indicative band score.

Cost is NZD$70.00

IELTS on Computer Exam (postponed until 2024):

Our apologies but these are postponed until 2024 – The IELTS on Computer exam gives test takers another way to sit the world’s most popular English test.  It’s the same secure IELTS, but now there’s more booking flexibility and faster results.

Online Registration:

To register online you will need a colour photocopy of your current passport saved as a document (you will need to upload this).

How do you want to pay?  Remember you don’t have to come into EIT; you can pay by bank transfer (details will be emailed to you once you have registered).

Or you can visit EIT Registration Office to pay by either cash, credit card or EFTPOS.

Once you have registered, you will be able to access the Test Taker Portal, view your test results online and you will also have access to online resources:

    • Road to IELTS – online preparation with downloadable practice tests, interactive activities, hints and tips on question types.
    • IELTS Word Power App – an easy-to-use app that introduces you to useful English words to help you in the Speaking and Writing sections of the test and is available in iOS and for Android.
    • IELTS WordReady – an online resource delivering vocabulary training to help you prepare for your IELTS test.
