Cancellation and Transfer

Candidates may cancel or transfer their IELTS test date by notifying us in writing (via email) no later than five weeks before their scheduled test date.  There is an administration fee for either cancelling or transferring. Cost is NZD$75.00.

If it is within the five week time-frame there is no refund and you cannot transfer to another test date.

Evidence of Identity on Test Day 

You must provide proof of your identity (valid passport) at time of application and on test day.

Bring the same valid passport on the test day as the one recorded online with.  If you do not do this you will not be allowed to take the test and you will not be eligible for a refund or transfer.

International Courier / International Postage Fees

We can courier your Test Report to a University overseas – just let us know the full address and contact person.  We will provide you with a Tracking Number.  The cost is NZD$55.00 per University.

We can also post your Test Report Form internationally – just let us know the full address and contact person.  Unfortunately postage cannot be tracked.  The cost is NZD$10.00 per University.

Extra Copies of Test Report Form Fee

Candidates may request up to five additional copies to be sent to receiving organisations (tertiary institutions, professional bodies, or government departments free of charge within NZ).

If you require an extra copy of your Test Report Form (in addition to five copies we provide) please email us and we will email you the Additional Test Report Form application for you to complete.

An administration fee of NZD$25.00 per additional Test Report Form will apply.  It will be posted locally within NZ for free or we can courier/post  internationally (see pricing above).

IELTS on Computer Exam results are usually available within 3-5 days after exam.

IELTS on Paper Exam results are usually available 13 days after the exam. 

Your Test Results will be available online on the Test Taker Portal – you will be sent an email notification to advise you when these can be viewed.

Your Test Report Form will also be sent to the address provided on your online application.

As a Test Centre we are NOT permitted to give results over the phone, by fax or email.

Another Person Collecting Your Results for You

You can have another person pick up your Test Report Form on your behalf.  This person must bring a copy of your passport along with a signed letter of permission (your name must be stated and the name of the person collecting your results).  They must also bring along personal identification as well.

If you would like to query your test results, please action an EOR from the Test Taker portal or email ielts@eit.ac.nz within six weeks of your test date to apply for a re-mark.  

The re-mark cost is NZD$250.00 and can take up to 2 – 21 days to process.

Increase to band score:  If there is an increase in your band score you will receive an EOR letter stating your final results status.  You will then be required to return your previously issued Test Report Form before a new one can be issued.  Please complete the emailed refund forms as soon as possible so we can organise a full refund for your EOR fee.

No increase to band score: If there is no increase to your band score, you will receive an EOR letter stating your final results status.  Unfortunately you will not receive a refund.
