EIT | Te Pūkenga Student Village

The EIT | Te Pūkenga Student Village is a self-catering complex of 12 villas housing six students in each. Residents include both domestic and international students. Each student has their own furnished bedroom. Students share lounge, kitchen, dining, laundry and bathroom facilities in each villa.

It is a great environment to meet other students, study and relax together. The EIT | Te Pūkenga Student Village is located opposite the EIT | Te Pūkenga Hawke’s Bay campus and is next to the Pettigrew Green Arena and bus stops for both Napier and Hastings.

There are regular office hours and 24-hour support arrangements for resident students.

Students are required to pay a bond of $400, plus 10 weeks rent in advance ($2,100) and sign a residency agreement with EIT | Te Pūkenga for a minimum of one semester (20 weeks) which includes:

  • Single furnished bedroom
  • Furnished kitchen, dining and lounge
  • Bathroom and laundry facilities
  • Reasonable use of electricity
  • Unlimited fibre internet
  • Storage shed in each villa
  • Onsite car parking

International students who do not wish to bring their own bedding may purchase a bedding pack for $200. This includes a mattress protector, pillow, sheet set, duvet, and towel. Please indicate whether you require a bedding pack on your EIT | Te Pūkenga Student Village application form.

Students may contract for the academic year (40 weeks) or one semester (20 weeks). Where the programme is shorter than one semester you can contract for the length of your enrolled programme based on room availability.

Rooms fill fast so places can only be secured for students who have paid the fees and returned their EIT | Te Pūkenga Student Village application.
