Bio

Carl gained his initial degree in Sport Science from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) and has since completed both Masters and Doctoral degrees specialising in endurance exercise physiology. Since 1996 Carl has been employed as a senior lecturer in exercise physiology, performance profiling and anthropometry at the School of Sport and Exercise Science at the Waikato Institute of Technology. Carl is an avid competitive cyclist and coach’s international representatives in both cycling and triathlon. Carl also provides sport science and medicine support and training advice for NZ elite cyclists through the NZ Academy of Sport and his role as a specialist advisor for BikeNZ.
