Tēnā tātau. Day 2 in Christchurch- Ōtautahi and nerves have gone up ten fold. It was great to see many of the other rōpū arriving and getting ready today. Today was sound check for Ngāti Kahungunu ki Heretaunga, Te Rerenga Kōtuku and Ngāti Ranginui, three of the four Ngāti Kahungunu teams. I am unsure of when Pareārau have their sound check, however I do know that they have touched base and landed safely.

Tomorrow is Pōhiri Day and the official opening ceremony for Te Matatini Festival. Let it begin!
