Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4) student

Regional winner of the Hawke’s Bay’s Industry Training Association (ITAB) Apprentice Challenge is Sam Talbot, employed at Paul Boaler Builders.

The challenge to the eight competitors, all studying for EIT’s National Certificate in Carpentry (Level 4), was to construct an outdoor bench seat. Judging the event, held at the Tumu ITM Building Centre in Napier, Certified Builders Hawke’s Bay’s president Alan Whyte said he was very impressed by the apprentices’ skill level.
