A double degree student at EIT, Ben Richards is heading to Italy over his summer break as this year’s Romeo Bragato exchange scholar. The 21-yearold, who grew up on a dairy farm in Matamata, is studying concurrently for the Bachelor of Viticulture and Bachelor of Wine Science. No Italian exchange scholarship was awarded this year but the link will resume next year with the selection of a graduate from the school of legendary viticulturist Romeo Bragato, who has progressed to studying a degree in oenology at the University of Padua.
