Arty high school students will be invited to create their own vampires, werewolves and other creatures of the night at a holiday workshop offered at EIT.
The “Bolt from the Vault” taster will be one of many free workshops held on campus from Monday through to Wednesday, July 11-13. Senior high school students and others aged 15-18 can choose to join as many as they can manage.
EIT suggests acting quickly, however, as bookings are filling fast. Phone 0800 22 55 348 to ensure your place.
The practical workshops are designed to be hands-on. There will be a how-to for those wanting to learn manicure massage, for example, and a primary industries day will cover forest machinery, sowing seeds and planting native trees.
The “tasters” will encompass nursing, fashion, music, social work, visual arts and design, animal care, primary and early childhood teaching, tourism and travel, computing, agriculture, horticulture and forestry, recreation and sport, massage, junior chef (14 and older) and beauty and body therapy.
EIT’s taster days are aimed at providing an opportunity to explore career and study options and also to meet teaching staff and view the campus facilities.
