A group of online blended learning course students recently met on the Hawke’s Bay campus for the first of two three-day blocks. EIT offers Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) as a practice-based postgraduate course that sits within the Master of Health Science and also as the stand-alone year-long Postgraduate Certificate in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. The course is of interest to a range of health and social service professionals wanting to develop specialist advanced skills in CBT. Through the integrated use of theory, practice and professional supervision from a clinical perspective, students learn to critique and deliver therapeutic services for inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
