EIT is one of the First Fifteen Group of Sponsors with the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union. We are delighted to be the Official and Exclusive Education Provider to the Magpies.

Today the rugby union and EIT are running a skills training session for over 50 local high school students at Karamu High School’s rugby fields.

Marcus Agnew, an EIT’s sport and recreation lecturer will be working with the coaches of the Magpies, Craig Philpott and Danny Lee, to deliver this training.

EIT sponsors the rugby academy for up and coming rugby players. This year Ben Parson, Jorian Tangaere, Jason Long and Sean Morrison are members of the academy and are also studying at EIT. They will also be helping the high school students improve their skills today.

At EIT, we’re delighted to work with the HB rugby union to improve education for their players, but also to share our collective knowledge with high school students so they can improve their game.
