A word from our Campus Director

June 20, 2012

The year is racing away on us. We’ve just celebrated one of the big highlights on our calendar though, with the 2012 EIT Tairawhiti Graduation.

It’s a celebration on so many levels – for the students who have achieved what may be just the first step in their journey, for the lecturers who have helped them get there, and for  whanau who have supported them every step of the way.

The new trades block complex we will have even greater numbers on campus and we look forward to the 2013 graduation where we expect to see a big increase in students graduating as a direct result of this great new investment.

Speaking of investment, more than $4 million has been spent on the Tairäwhiti campus since we merged with EIT, with a lot more spent in other areas. It all contributes to making EIT Tairäwhiti an even more valuable community asset that continues to be utilised by more and more.

The degrees continue to be well supported and attract more people to stay in the region while studying. There has been particular interest in the business degrees, with excellent numbers coming through.

Spaces in many courses are limited so get in quickly if you think you would like to enrol.

We all look forward to the rest of the year and to helping more people from throughout the region achieve their goals and dreams.
