Programme coordinator for EIT’s social science and education certificates, Jillian Johnstone was presented with the Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence this month.

EIT chief executive Chris Collins says Jillian is an exemplary teacher who makes use of diverse teaching and learning strategies. “A quiet and modest teacher, Jillian makes a significant contribution to the  programmes she teaches, to the wider EIT community and her students.

As a literacy and numeracy champion, she is passionate and committed to her

students and her enquiring mind means she is willing to listen and debate new ideas.” The annual award provides financial support to study teaching and education practice within Australasia.
