Under an agreement with the University of Waikato a two year part time certificate in the general areas of Community Social Work is offered as well as a three year part-time Certificate in Māori Studies.

Through REAP, courses are taught in Hicks Bay/ Te Araroa, Ruatoria, Tokomaru Bay, Tolaga Bay, Matawai, Te Karaka, Opoutama and Wairoa.

The Department of Labour’s pre-employment Young Persons’ Training Programmes (YPTP) begin the long association with government supported transition education.
