Figure 4 1973 Secretarial Graduates

The Gisborne High Schools’ Board of Governors establishes the first fulltime secretarial course and with Mel Simpson’s guidance appoints Trudy Meredith (Keelan) as the course supervisor in October 1971. She teaches in the upstairs room of the old wooden building connected to Central School in Derby Street which had been erected in 1904.
