Victor has responsibility for financial matters for EIT, supporting the Chief Executive, including financial strategy, financial management, business support, internal controls and systems, together with meeting the expectations of the EIT Council.

 

While Victor has been assisting EIT since late 2023, the focus over the last year or more has been on assisting EIT prepare to stand alone, both financially and organisationally. Previously, he has been Executive Director, Corporate Services for over 12 years until late 2020, with responsibilities for Finance, IT, Capital Planning, Facilities, Timetable, etc. This included significant transition work with the Tairāwhiti Polytech and EIT merger in January 2011. Prior to returning to EIT, Victor assisted five ITOs arranging training for apprentices transition into Te Pūkenga Work Based Learning Ltd during 2022, before working for a year with the EarnLearn business division. Currently, at EIT a major piece of work is supporting finalisation of the campus rebuild project following Cyclone Gabrielle in 2023, including transferring rebuild costs back from Te Pūkenga National Office in 2025 and supporting the insurance claim process. The procurement function has now transferred back to EIT and work to strengthen that and build collaboration is underway.

 

Victor is based at the EIT Hawke’s Bay Campus in Taradale, Napier.
