Registered Nurse, Certificate in Adult Teaching

Welcome, I trained as a Registered Nurse in the 1980’s in Palmerston North and spent much of my time with the Mid Central District Health Board specialising in the support of people with an Intellectual or Physical Disability.

I have been fortunate to have had many opportunities with the Health sector and have had experience as an Infection Control Nurse, Clinic Practice Nurse, Nurse Educator and part-time Nursing Lecturer for 8 years with the Bachelor of Nursing programme at UCOL in Palmerston North.

More recently I have had a community based role as a Nurse Consultant with specialist services providing assessment liaison and advocacy support for health issues, training staff and educating providers.

I have been the programme co-ordinator for Health Care Assistance at EIT since the start of Semester One and enjoy this role very much.
