Applications for accommodation must be made to the accommodation team accommodation@eit.ac.nz.Placement will only be secured once the application form and payment have been received and processed by EIT.

• Please note that this is your application form. If you are studying on campus your enrolment will take place once you arrive at EIT in New Zealand. Enrolment can only be completed once you have shown the correct student visa, paid full tuition fees and have compulsory insurance cover. If you are studying online you will be sent details on how to enrol once your application has been accepted.

Eastern Institute of Technology is a Business Division of the New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (EIT). EIT reserves the right to cancel or postpone any programme or course for any reason and shall not be liable for any claim other than that proportion of the programme or course fee which the cancelled or postponed portion bears. Programmes are dependent upon Ministry of Education funding allocation.

1. I undertake to comply with, and agree to be governed by, the EIT rules, regulations and responsibilities.
2. I declare the information given on this form is true and correct in every particular and no information which would have a material bearing on my application or enrolment has been withheld.
3. I understand that EIT reserves the right to terminate an offer of place or enrolment if the information given in this application is incorrect in any way.
4. I will attend all classes (except in the case of illness when I must provide a medical certificate) to comply with Immigration New Zealand and EIT policy of 100% attendance.
5. If I am studying on campus in New Zealand, I understand that Immigration New Zealand will be notified if my enrolment is cancelled for any reason.
6. I hereby authorise EIT to release academic records or information related to my health and safety to my parents, education placement agency, guardian, other providers of international education, the Police, the Department of Courts, Immigration or NZQA or insurance agent, should EIT consider that it is necessary to do so for my well-being or educational benefit.
7. I understand EIT will collect, hold, handle, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the thirteen information privacy principles in the Privacy Act 2020. Specifically, for statistical and reporting purposes (anonymously), to help EIT meet its health and safety obligations, to provide you with appropriate support, and to determine whether your health may impact on your ability to fully participate in your studies, and, if so, how EIT manages that impact. This information is also used to select students for qualifications, to manage internal administrative processes, and for internal reporting and statistical purposes. EIT can also collect and store your information from this form to comply with the requirements of (and may disclose my information to) the Ministry of Education, Education New Zealand, the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, the Tertiary Education Commission, the Ministry of Social Development (in relation to student loans and allowances), Inland Revenue Department (Fees Free scheme), the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (including Immigration New Zealand), previous Secondary School (graduation statistics) and agencies who support particular students through scholarships, payment of fees or other awards (if you are a recipient of one of these awards). In addition, when required by law, EIT releases information to Government agencies such as the New Zealand Police, Department of Justice, Ministry of Social Development, and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC). 10. I have fully considered and decided on the mainstream academic programme chosen in this application. I understand that I cannot change my programme or level of study upon arrival at EIT.
11. While I meet the English Language proficiency level required, I am also confident I have the English proficiency to participate successfully in academic programmes.
12. If I am studying on campus in New Zealand, I agree to provide EIT with evidence of an appropriate visa and medical insurance for the duration of my qualification at EIT.
13. I acknowledge that, if at any time during my enrolment with EIT I do not have a valid visa or insurance, then my enrolment will be cancelled.
