When David Brook moved to Auckland Institute of Technology to become the Deputy Director, the Council appoints Rosemary Middleton as the CEO-the first woman to hold this position in the polytechnic sector. She comes with a background in the Education and Trade and Industry Departments. Under her leadership over the next 12 years Tairāwhiti Community College grows from 100 EFTS to 1100 EFTS.
