ideaschool Adds to Study Options

ideaschool’s reshaped programme structure is aimed at providing more study options as well as further opportunities for students to build a portfolio of qualifications aligned to the creative industries.

There will be five new ideaschool offerings available from 2017, adding more certificate and diploma programmes to a selection that extends to honoursand masters programmes. New are:

– New Zealand Certificate in Art and Design Level 3
– New Zealand Certificate in Art and Design Level 4
– New Zealand Certificate in Communication Media Level 4
– New Zealand Diploma in Art and Design Level 5
– New Zealand Diploma in Fashion Level 5

Project-based, the single-semester Level 3 New Zealand Certificate in Art and Design programme will have two entry points – 20 February and 24 July. Providing an introductory level of knowledge and study experience in creative practice, it will encompass art and design, screen production, fashion and music.

The Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Art and Design starts in the second semester and will focus on art and design and fashion in providing studio experience in creative practice.

The New Zealand Certificate in Communication Media Level 4 is a 17-week programme starting in the second semester. Also project-based, it provides knowledge and experience in the creative practice of screen production and music.

Students who complete the New Zealand Diploma in Art and Design Level 5 can choose to exit at that point in their studies or re-enrol for a further two years to complete idea’s Bachelor of Visual Arts and Design.

The New Zealand Diploma in Fashion is a one-year, project-based programme designed for people wanting to gain technical skills and knowledge to work in the fashion design industry.
