Master of Health Science Degree Starts!

May 14, 2014

The Master of Health Science (MHSc) has started with 13 enrolments including four in the 9.490 thesis course. The MHSc is a 180-credit (1½ years full-time, 3 years parttime)programme which provides the opportunity for health sector practitioners/health managers to advance and expand their knowledge and scholarship within an interdisciplinary learning environment. Courses are designed around knowledge and research relating to key threads of health disparities and the needs of populations; ethical, legal and political dimensions of health policy and practice; and interdisciplinary practice to improve health care. We were delighted with the praise from the NZQA panel following their deliberations and discussions here. They had commendations regarding:

  • The Kaupapa Mäori on-line course design;
  • The on-line teaching and learning approach and capability of EIT;
  • The Masterate Research and Independent Scholarly Project Guidelines booklet; and
  • The PGA sports science facilities.
