Camille Collier is adamant she has the dream job. The newly-graduated mother of three has followed her mother and grandmother into the nursing profession and is proud to
have completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree.
She’s now working in the emergency department at Gisborne Hospital and part of the new graduate programme, a specialist option for first year nurses that ensures top support in their first posting.
“I just love it,” says 26-year-old Camille. “I am a registered nurse now – that is just awesome!”
Her success at EIT Tairäwhiti has given her a new-found confidence.
“I never thought I was great at school but I am proud to say I did very well in my tertiary studies. Studying opened my eyes to what I can achieve.”
She now has plans for post graduate study.
“I had so much support – Willie my husband, my great family and EIT Tairäwhiti who are understanding of adult students who have families.”
