EIT has made five casual and part-time lecturers in the School of Arts and Design permanent members of staff.
Head of School Dr Suzette Major says Hawke’s Bay’s arts community will be pleased and interested to know that more permanent staff are needed because the school continues to experience tremendous growth.
The new appointments are Paula Taaffe (paint lecturer), Michael Hawksworth (drawing and fine arts lecturer), Roger Kelly (3D design lecturer), Linda Bruce (ceramics lecturer), and Nigel Roberts as visual arts and design lecturer. Nigel will also be taking over full programme coordination for the visual arts and design certificate, diploma and degree.
“I am excited to have these additions to our staff,” Dr Major said. “They are all highly-regarded in the arts industry and will bring their considerable talents and experience into the classroom.
“Because they are already well known and valued by staff and students, they will readily slot into our team in Arts and Design.”
