Toihoukura, Visual Arts and Design programme has new facilities fronting Cobden Street incorporating  the original “Barn” carpentry workshop that had previously been relocated from the other end of the campus near the two storey Central School building. Two extensions are added to this structure at different times including the two storied studio section in 1992 and the koru-styled gallery “Maia” and associated office space in 1995.
