Primary Teaching: Tuesday, 16 April, 12pm-2pm

Do you remember your favourite teacher? Find out the fundamentals of primary teaching and what makes a great teacher.

Social Work: Wednesday, 17 April, 9am-11am

Social Work is about working with individuals and families to build safe and strong communities. Come along and experience some of the skills you need to be a great social worker.

Business: Wednesday, 17 April, 9am-12pm

Come along and learn about the world of business. From solving problems in business, to forensic accounting, to digital marketing, learn about an exciting career pathway that can take you anywhere.

Hospitality and Tourism: Wednesday, 17 April, 10am-1pm (held at the EIT Hastings Learning Centre)

Start with learning about the exciting world of travel and tourism, then move into the kitchen, get yourselves food safe and cook up a storm of tasty treats.  Finish off learning how to make some mock-tails and familiarise yourselves with front of house operations from bar to barista.

Hairdressing: Wednesday, 17 April, 9am-11am

Do you want a career in an industry that’s in demand and creative?  Then the hairdressing trade could be for you.  Try your hand at styling hair and hair art. 

Nursing: Thursday, 18 April, 9am-12pm

Inquisitive about nursing as career? Come along to EIT for a peek and a hands-on experience. We look forward to meeting you and answering any questions.

Robotics – Speed Racer: Tuesday and Wednesday, 23 and 24 April, 10am-3pm

Come and experience the thrill of the race! Through the use of Artificial Intelligence, teach a Jetracer car to race around our large scale track on its own. No programming skills required. Come along and have fun.
