The Catering Section students make food for around 300 guests who enjoyed an Italian long lunch and some of the Chardonnay.

A Tairāwhiti led consortium of tertiary providers  (AUT, WINTEC, Waikato University) wins a TEC eLearning Collaborative Development Fund grant to the value of $500,000. The project eXe ll Building Capability Through eXe Knowledge Communities, Multimedia Authoring and Mobile Learning will last for one year.
