Profile
Carl is as an Associate Professor at EIT with a specialism in human physiology. Having gained his initial degree in science from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), he has since completed both Masters and Doctoral degrees specialising in elite cycling performance and endurance physiology. Carl has over 20 years’ experience as a lecturer in exercise physiology, performance profiling and anthropometry, and has published over 30 international journal articles. He has also provided sport science support services for numerous NZ elite athletes across a range of sports. Carl has been a competitive cyclist and multisport athlete for over 30 years and has personally coached numerous cyclists to representation level at the World championships, Olympic and Commonwealth games in road and mountain bike disciplines.
