Ryan came to EIT straight from high school in Whangaui aged just seventeen.  He boarded with his uncle and got stuck into the hands-on project based course, which suited him down to the ground.

After graduation he chased down jobs including hanging from a helicopter filming the Genesis Energy Lake to Lighthouse Challenge and working in Christchurch post-earthquake for TV One News.  Now he has a coveted job with TVNZ in Wellington as an Operations Assistant.  “I do a bit of everything which suits me.”
