EIT Auckland’s inaugural alumni event, NEXUS 2021 was held at the Ellen Melville Centre in Auckland on Friday 13 August. The event aimed to recognise and connect with EIT alumni, to acknowledge their contribution and achievements, and to enable current EIT students to meet with and hear from those in the post-study world of work.

A huge thank you to all of the guests who attended this memorable event including Viv Beck, Chief Executive of the Heart of the City and Fred Koenders, EIT Executive Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Technology. It was great to see so many smiling faces enjoying each other’s company, catching up with old friends and making new acquaintances.

Amongst the many highlights, alumnus Sarang Yande led his team to victory in the quiz and guest speaker Sam Kamani provided an inspiring address. Guests also enjoyed the delicious empanadas created by Arturo Vazquez. Many thanks to the members of the academic and support teams for their contribution in making the evening a success.
