This pathway enables you to study as much of your programme online as you wish and finish your qualification in New Zealand when the borders reopen.

From 31 July 2022, New Zealand student visa processing will resume for students located outside New Zealand. If your programme starts before 31 July 2022, you will need to defer to the next available intake.

Postgraduate students applying from offshore can start their programme online in 2022 while they wait for their visa and then transition to on-campus study when they are able to travel to New Zealand.

Regardless of whether you are in EIT | Te Pūkenga or private accommodation, you must inform EIT | Te Pūkenga of your arrival details two weeks prior to your departure date.

Applications for accommodation will be sent with the Offer of Place, and placement will only be secured once the application forms and payment have been received by EIT | Te Pūkenga.

Conditions of Acceptance and Enrolment

    • Please read the International Prospectus for detailed information on Conditional Offers and meeting the conditions of acceptance.
    • Please note that this is your application form. If you are studying on campus your enrolment will take place once you arrive at EIT | Te Pūkenga in New Zealand. Enrolment can only be completed once you have shown the correct student visa, paid full tuition fees and have compulsory insurance cover. If you are studying online you will be sent details on how to enrol once your application has been accepted.

EIT is now part of Te Pūkenga - New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology

Te Pūkenga will bring together New Zealand’s Institutes of Technology, Polytechnics, and Industry Training Organisations to build a network of on-campus, online, offshore and work-based education and training. The quality of education we deliver will not only remain, it will be strengthened by being part of the extensive Te Pūkenga network. From 2023 your enrolment will transfer to Te Pūkenga and you will become part of the extensive Te Pūkenga network in New Zealand.

I hereby authorise EIT | Te Pūkenga to release academic records or information related to my health and safety to my parents, education placement agency, guardian, other providers of international education, the Police, the Department of Courts, Immigration or NZQA or insurance agent, should EIT | Te Pūkenga consider that it is necessary to do so for my well-being or educational benefit.

If I am studying on campus in New Zealand, I agree to provide EIT | Te Pūkenga with evidence of an appropriate visa and medical insurance for the duration of my qualification at EIT | Te Pūkenga. I acknowledge that, if at any time during my enrolment with EIT | Te Pūkenga I do not have a valid visa or insurance, then my enrolment will be cancelled.
