Culinary arts workshops showcase latest industry trends

January 23, 2019

Learning from the best. EIT offers a series of workshops to keep up-to-date with hospitality trends.

EIT is offering three one day upskilling workshops for secondary school hospitality teachers (year 12 and 13). In Workshop 1 (13 February 2019) professional chef tutor Mark Caves and Amanda Libeau will demonstrate the latest culinary art trends, techniques and skills and create tasty treats together with the group.

Workshop 2 (10 June 2019) is all about chocolate and creating sweet masterpieces. In Workshop 3 (11 September 2019) Hawke’s Bay master chefs will create fine tasting plates and share their industry insights. A great opportunity to network and establish contact with local industry.

Head of School of Tourism and Hospitality, Glenn Fulcher is pleased to be able to offer high quality training, “Keeping up with industry trends is a very important part of any chef operation. It is critical to know what’s going on, what costumers would like and find challenging new ways of creating amazing food. Teachers need to be up-to-date with industry trends to ensure our future chefs have the skills to thrive.”

The costs are: $ 180 + GST per workshop, $ 500 + GST for all three workshops.
