The NZME Hastings City Business Awards were a wonderful celebration of success on Friday night.

The finalists for the EIT service professional award were
• Direct Earth Electrical
• M>phosis Hair Studio and
• Urban Retreat Hastings

And the winner was Direct Earth Electrical.

Cameron Darwen started his business 3 years ago and was pleased to share that he offers EIT electrical students’ work experience. Those who shine – are offered an apprenticeship.

Cameron attributes their business success to the professional systems. They have a job management system where the jobs go directly through to the electricians’ iphones and the system also coordinates directly with their Xero Accounting System.

Cameron finds having efficient systems and quality communication with their team means they have a successful business model.
