Minister calls for more students to study computing

November 20, 2012

Tertiary Education Minster Steven Joyce, is calling for more students to study computing.

And at EIT we offer a range of IT courses ranging from Certificate to degree to Post Graduate. And they’re practical and employment based.

We’re very proud of our graduates success in securing careers in the IT industry, within Hawke’s Bay, in the main New Zealand centres and overseas.

Over the last two years all degree graduates have found work. The positions range from Technical IT support at companies like New Era IT to Project Management at Tomahawk, an Auckland based Web Marketing Company.

Local industry support our programme development and provide internships.

The internships are a key factor in our graduates getting employment – in fact, two out of three students are offered work with their sponsoring company when they complete their project.

Get in touch if you want to offer a student project, an employee or even to enrol at EIT.
