Amy Osborne shoots winning EIT advert

June 8, 2011

Congratulations to Amy Osborne – her ad was chosen as the best out of those EIT ads produced by Diploma in Video and Electronic Media students.

Amy’s ad, together with five others, was loaded onto EIT’s facebook page where it received the “people’s vote”.  Amy will take home a bag of EIT merchandise as well as a campus parking permit.

The adverts were made as part of the video students’ first year advertisement project.  EIT Marketing Director, Brenda Chapman supplied a brief and students were then given the option to produce an ad marketing EIT, or another product or service of their choice.

Amy’s version , as well as being very professional, gave an excellent overview of EIT’s video programme and facilities.  The presenter, fellow video student Amanda Dawson, is a natural.  The ad is fun and entertaining.

Amy’s ad and the other entries are available on EIT Hawkes Bay’s youtube channel

Amy recently returned from Auckland where she was an extra on the Mighty Power Rangers TV series and she is now preparing to direct a short film based on the Alice in Wonderland story.

The ex-Hastings Girls’ High School student is busy making props for her film including a Queen of Hearts dress to be worn by lead actor, classmate Amanda Dawson.

You can read more about Amy’s pending short film on EIT’s website .  Watch this space as we have no doubt Amy’s film will be great and she is heading toward an exciting career in the film industry.
