Tairāwhiti Polytechnic Toihoukura tutor and mother of six, Tawera Tahuri, received an invitation to be part of the 2009 Florence Biennale, which is held every two years in Florence, Italy.

She is believed to be the first contemporary Māori artist to have this honour. Read more…
