Profile
I view teaching winemaking as an opportunity to integrate scientific understanding with creativity and practical skill.
My teaching philosophy is grounded in the concept of Ako, which recognises that both akonga and kaiako are learners and teachers who contribute their own knowledge and experience to the learning environment.
I endeavour to make learning authentic and relevant by connecting theoretical principles to real-world winemaking contexts.
Through this approach, the aim is to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence, enabling students to develop as informed, reflective, and capable wine professionals.
