Profile

Patrick is part of the lecturing team in the School for Health and Sport Science at EIT. He completed his BSc at the University of Glamorgan and MSc at Loughborough University before starting his teaching career at Loughborough College. He taught Sport and Exercise Science for Whanganui UCOL in New Zealand between 2005-2009 whilst studying for a PhD in Exercise Physiology. He then returned to the UK for a brief spell in Online Learning Development and lecturing on Postgraduate courses for Leeds Metropolitan University and Newman University College.

Patrick’s research interests are in self-paced exercise in a range of exercise intensities and environmental manipulations, and his sporting passion is in swimming. He has competed in the pool for many years, but more recently turned to open water, racing in the Long Swim Series in the UK and the Masters Games and Ocean Swim Series in New Zealand.
