Monday 10th July


9am -12pm

In today’s ultra-competitive world discover what it takes to be a biz-whiz and how accounting, management and marketing helps companies get ahead.



9am – 10am

Get to grips with what it takes to be a massage therapist, and learn how you can take the pressure off with a neck and shoulder massage.


Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry

9am – 12pm

Experience a practical workshop outdoors in  forestry horticulture and agriculture.  Be ready for a hands-on, fun filled morning and learn how to put up a fence, start a chainsaw and learn propagation techniques. (Jenna to reword once we have a proof)



9am – 12pm

If you’re into performing, writing or producing get the low down to music using Ableton Live.


Early Childhood Education

9am – 11am

If you are passionate about children, this could be for you.  Find out how to take on an incredibly rewarding careers as an early childhood teacher.


Primary Teaching

11:30am – 1:30pm

Do you remember your favourite primary school teacher?  Find out how you too can be a great teacher.


Tourism and Travel

9am – 11am

Want to go places?  Here’s your chance to find out about the tourism and travel industry and the skills you need to be part of it.


Tuesday 11th July

Beauty and Body Therapy

9am – 11am

Look at the skin structure and learn a manicure massage.  See what it takes to be part of this growing industry.


Animal Care

9am – 12pm

Meet our beautiful animals in our new animal facility; get up and close, find out how to look after them and learn some basics about working in the animal industry.



9am -12pm

Do you like to looking after others?  Come and spend time in our simulation lab and learn a few basic nursing skills such as vital signs and injections.


Visual Arts and Design – The Hybrid (use image from Nigel)


Take part in an art project where you blend/ hybridise two or more differing ‘images’ to compose a new creature, plant, machine or even monster?


Architectural Technology – Grand Designs

9am – 12pm

Want to be part of an architectural design team? Join our workshop to create your own grand design house.


Wednesday 12th July

 Social Work

9am – 11am

Social work is about building strong communities.  Come along and see the skills you need to be a great social worker.


Fashion Design – Groove into Fashion

9am – 12pm

Design and produce a fashion illustration inspired by your favourite song.



9am – 12pm

Introduction to programming and electronics. Learn how to code using Raspberry Pi’s and Arduino’s , and get started in the software development field.


Sport and Recreation

9am – 11pm

“The Secret of Peak Performance – It’s all in your head”.  A hands on workshop where you’ll learn and practice the four things the best coaches, athletes and teams do – to be the best coaches, athletes, and teams.


18th – 20th July

Junior Chef 

Three days 9am – 3pm

If you’re 14 or older and still at high school, learn about basic food safety, followed by hands on instruction in preparing a wide range of items.

Prepare hair for hairdressing service under supervision.  Demonstrate knowledge of makeup and design theory.

Carry out wool shed tasks during shearing operations.

Gain knowledge in requirements of chainsaw operation.
