Hi I’m Del,  Clinical Arts and Technology (CAT) Coordinator in the School of Nursing.  I have been in this role since Jan 2013.  Born and raised in Hawke’s Bay I began my nursing journey as an Enrolled Nurse in the early 1980’s, in  2000 I completed my BN, since then I have undertaken Post Graduate studies and was the recipient of the HBDHB Director of Nursing award for Excellence in Post Graduate Nursing Study 2012.  My clinical background is in Emergency Department, Intensive Care and Urgent Care in a Primary Care Facility.  My passion is for students to become clinically competent and to assist their learning by developing their critical thinking through the use of simulation.  As CAT Coordinator it is my role to provide exciting, stimulating simulations in a safe environment which fosters confidence and competence.

I look forward to assisting you on your journey.
