David Moore is a senior lecturer in wine science. David moved to New Zealand from England in the early 1970s after completing a Bachelor of Science honours degree in physiology and pharmacology. He gained a Master of Science (Biochemistry) from the University of Canterbury and lectured in biochemistry in CPIT before studying wine science and viticulture at Roseworthy College, South Australia.
He has worked as a winemaker in New Zealand (Torlesse Wines in Canterbury and Ruby Bay Wines in Nelson) and France (Burgundy). He has also lectured in wine science at Plumpton College in the UK and was managing director of Christchurch food manufacturers Old Grain Mill (2000) Ltd. David’s interests include playwriting, theatrical directing and acting.
