Do You Want to Start a Career in the Creative Industries?
This is a 17 week (1 semester) project based programme. It is a project based programme for school leavers and adults who require an introduction to a range of filming, editing and audio techniques, and basic music composition and production.
It further develops your techniques and gives you an entrance of these creative careers paths and practical skills to build a portfolio for them.
Career Opportunities & Outcomes
The NZ Certificate in Communication Media [Level 4] can lead students to apply for entry into the NZ Diplomas of Music, Screen Production, Fashion or the Bachelor of Creative Practice. The portfolio completed during the programme can be used to support an application or look for an entry level job in New Zealand’s fastest growing industry.
EIT offers a variety of scholarships across various subjects and programme levels. Some scholarships are based on your age, some are specific to the subject you want to study. Not all scholarships are based on your academic ability and anyone wanting to study should investigate what scholarships are available to them.
You can find a list of EIT scholarships here however there are many more scholarships offered nationally. Information about these is on an database called “givME”. givME is accessible at EIT or at some public libraries.
