COVID-19 Update 17.8.21

The Government has announced this evening that New Zealand’s COVID-19 Alert Levels will change tonight. All of New Zealand moves to Alert Level 4 from 11:59pm Tuesday 17 August.

Please note the following for all Hawke’s Bay, Tairāwhiti Campuses and Regional Learning Centres

Chris Collins, EIT Chief Executive, has made the decision that all teaching, including online, will be suspended on Wednesday 18 August, with the plan to deliver online where able from Thursday 19 August. Your Programme Co-ordinators will be in contact regarding plans for delivery shortly.

EIT Campuses and Regional Learning Centres are closed for the remainder of this week. Following future government announcements we will provide you updates on when campuses will reopen.

Please note the following for the Auckland Campus:

The Auckland EIT Campus will be closed from 11.59 Tuesday 17 August. All classes will continue at the usual day/time from tomorrow Wednesday 18 August online. Your lecturers will be in touch. If you have any questions or concerns please contact your lecturers or Cherie Freeman.
