I was de
lighted to see the results of the Sports Awards organised by Sport Hawke’s Bay.
Patu Aotearoa won the SBS Bank Innovation in Sport Award – Levi Armstrong who is the founder of this innovative gym targeting overweight whanau, is a graduate of the Bachelor of Recreation and Sport in 2012 and continues to conduct research with our Health Sciences academics.
Hawke’s Bay Magpies won the Tremains Senior Team award – and EIT is the proud education provider to the Magpies and their Academy.
NZME People’s Choice Award went to Jason Long–Jason graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Bachelor of Recreation and Sport this year.
And Aimee Fisher won the Sportsperson of the Year. She studied for a Bachelor of Business Studies under the Sport Hawke’s Bay and EIT Sports Scholarship back in 2013.
