The demand for well-trained staff in the horticulture industries has never been so great.  If you gain a horticulture qualification you will be set for a bright future.

EIT offers a wide range of horticulture qualifications ranging from

  • pre-employment orchard based programmes to
  • community based programmes that focus on sustainable land use and growing healthy kai, to
  • a diploma in horticulture.

The community programmes are based in Maraenui and CHB.  The other programmes are delivered on the HB campus in Taradale.

There is also a horticulture cadetship for people who are employed fulltime in horticulture, and also study part-time over three years towards their national certificates.

If you want to know more –visit us at the home and garden show this weekend.  Our students are competing in a landscaping competition – check it out at McLean Park
