Hawke’s Bay Schools Trades Academy starts up

February 21, 2014

The Hawke’s Bay Schools Trades Academy started up again this morning with 260 students.

The trades academy provides high school students with on-campus practical skills training at EIT while allowing them to study for NCEA credits and tertiary qualifications.

16 and 17-year-olds attend EIT fee-free one day a week for training in a whole range of areas.

We welcome this year Te Aute College and Central Hawke’s Bay College to the Hawke’ s Bay Schools Trades Academy at EIT.

It’s been a busy time with students returning over the last couple of weeks for degree, diploma and certificate study.  The campus is certainly buzzing with over 4000 people enrolled.

If you’re thinking about enrolling– give us a call and we can see if we can squeeze you in, otherwise, it’s worth thinking about our many programmes that start in July.
