Member of Parliament Alfred Ngaro visits EIT

Over the last few weeks Maryanne Marsters had been working with MP Chris Tremain’s office, MP Alfred Ngaro’s office, Eimua Ltd, and Claire Hague’s section to organise a visit by Member of Parliament Alfred Ngaro.  Alfred  Ngaro is the first NZ Member of Parliament (MP) of Cook Islands descent, and on Friday 21 June 2013, EIT hosted a visit for the National MP.   Attending a lunch to meet and talk with MP Alfred Ngaro were a number of Pacific  EIT and secondary school students, EIT Pacific Advisory Group members, EIT staff, and Pacific community members who have collaborated with EIT on Pacific initiatives/projects, such as, Pacific Families Studying Together; Reo Kuki Airani course- an Introduction (Cook Islands language); Working with Pacific Communities course; Tongan Language course- an Introduction; Samoan Language course- an Introduction, and Tautai Fresh Horizons Pacific Workshops.  Alfred Ngaro said he enjoyed his EIT visit and connecting with the EIT Pacific communities and those working with them.  Check out the two photographs on his facebook – 1.
