We’re getting excited at EIT.  Graduation is just two weeks away and we have a record number of diploma, degree and post graduate qualifications to be conferred.

Over the last three years, the institute has recorded a steady increase in both overall qualifications awarded and higher level qualifications. 

In 2011, EIT Hawke’s Bay awarded 1899 qualifications to those completing study programmes.  a 23 percent increase from 2010, and a 34% increase on 2009. 

The increased number of qualifications awarded, encompassing   certificate, diploma, degree and postgraduate programmes, was across all of EIT’s faculties. 

And in another significant trend, EIT students are getting younger. 

Last year 54 percent of all Hawke’s Bay students were under 25 – 5% up on two years ago.
