EIT Tairﾄ『hiti Council

The Council has overall responsibility and accountability for the proper direction and control of EIT Tairﾄ『hiti’s activities.

This responsibility includes areas of stewardship such as:

  • formulating the strategic direction;
  • managing principal risks facing EIT Tairﾄ『hiti;
  • administering various regulations and meeting legislative requirements;
  • ensuring the integrity of management control systems;
  • safeguarding the public interest;
  • ensuring effective succession of elected members;
  • reporting to students and the community

The Council has appointed Judy Campbell as Chief Executive to be in charge of Council operations and delegates certain powers of management to her as required under Section 196 of the Education Act 1989. The Chief Executive in turn employs a Director, Head of School, and other Senior Managers to manage the significant activities of EIT Tairﾄ『hiti.
