Outline

The New Zealand Diploma in Business is a full-time, two year programme (or equivalent part-time) which offers you stimulating diploma level studies and provides a pathway to your professional qualification in all aspects of accounting, marketing and management.

The New Zealand Diploma in Business commences in February and concludes in November. Classes are scheduled for this programme between the hours of 8.00 am and 8.00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Full-time study is approximately 12-16 hours per week for 18 weeks per semester. Courses consist of two 2-hour lectures and in some courses a 1-hour tutorial per week. On average a student would be expected to do 2 hours of individual study for every classroom hour.

In practice, full-time students are expected to complete an average of 6 courses per year. One credit is broadly equivalent to 10 student-learning hours. Learning hours include both classroom and out-of-class work. Typically, a full-time student will take 3 courses each semester. There are 2 semesters per year.
